- University of Ottawa partners with Astral on exciting student initiatives
Students from the Department of Communication will take advantage of this new initiative by participating to the Astral Radio Journalism Challenge. This competition aims to develop the best morning show-style radio segment. A $6,000 prize will be presented to the winning show.
Sylvie Grosjean and Luc Bonneville are among the authors who just published a book reference in organizational communication « La communication organisationnelle – Approches, processus et enjeux ». First book of its kind published in French, it is aimed at students in communication as well as communication and public relations professionals.

New programs
Two new media studies programs in collaboration with La Cité collégiale and Algonquin College — an Honours Bachelor in Journalism and an Honours Bachelor in Public Relations will be offered by the Department of Communication as of September 2010.
